Our Experienced Instructors
Fiona BorbelyHead Coach
Fiona has over 20 years experience in the horse industry including riding, showing, coaching, training, managing and working in various show, training, lesson and boarding barns. She has a variety of riding experience from galloping racehorses to showing hunters and jumpers up to the Trillium circuit and developing young and green horses for the hunter and jumper rings with many of them going on to have successful careers on the Trillium or A circuits. She has been coaching at Southern Cross since the beginning of 2017
Kirstie HoustonAssociate Coach
Kirstie has over 20 years of experience in the horse industry, including riding, training, showing, volunteering with equestrians with disabilities, and coaching. She is a certified English Instructor with Equestrian Canada and has been coaching at Southern Cross Equestrian since 2014. Kirstie competes on the ‘A’ circuit in the jumper divisions, and has had much success with her horse Phenomenon.
Ashley McEnhillAssociate Coach
Ashley has over 11 years experience in the horse industry including riding, showing, training and coaching. She has ridden and shown a variation of different hunters and jumpers as well as training and bringing along a variety of greenies, which she very much enjoys. Ashley has been apart of the Brock Equestrian team for the past 2 years where she goes to school. She competes for her team in the OUEA circuit against other universities and colleges. Ashley has been coaching at Southern Cross since 2013.Sed ut perspiciatis unde omnis iste natus error sit voluptatem.
Alexandra has over 14 years of experience in the horse industry, including riding, training, coaching, managing stables, and volunteering. She grew up riding and showing in Hunters and Dressage, and has had much success in both. She has many years of experience working with children of all ages and abilities, both on and off the horse, and began teaching at Southern Cross in early 2016.
